AN: This story is being COMPLETELY reworked as I prepare to update and start on 'Tori' again. It originally debuted in August of 2017 on AO3. I try to leave most of my older work alone, maybe fix some grammatical and spelling errors but otherwise: I don't touch them. That being said, I've been promising the next work in this series for a long while now and I just can't write the next story without fixing this one first. It's... so bad, guys. It just is. Like, it's supposed to be somewhat like an Otome on the realism scale, but even with that, there are some parts of this that I am literally choking on. So I'm re-doing it. The story line will still be mostly the same, but we're going to flesh out these characters a bit, add some continuity in the POVs, and make some pieces a bit more realistic. If you truly liked the old one and I am messing up your world, I really am sorry. That being said, this is turning out being quite a bit darker in language and imagery than the original, so keep that in mind. I think it makes the Demon Lord a much more true to canon character, but you'll have to make your own judgements. As of right now, Chapters 1-4 have been reworked. Thousands of centuries ago humans, vampires, and werewolves lived together in harmony, considering one equal to the other. Ruled by a council of three kings, with one from each fullblood race, peace endured for quite some time. All of it was destroyed when many years later the new vampire and werewolf kings both wanted to rule over the kingdom alone. A massive war broke out between the vampires and the werewolves and millions of lives were lost. In a last attempt to stop the war one hundred years later, the land was divided into three kingdoms, the vampires, humans and werewolves. The borders were shut, crossbreeding was forbidden since it created halfbloods and demons and each kingdom was led by the king of their respective race. In secret, however, it was decided that the human king would watch over them all to prevent another war from ever happening again. Since the human kingdom laid inbetween the other two, the humans invented technology to keep all the races at bay and trained the warriors of their army as skilled hunters. As time and generations went by, the kingdoms became more isolated and the common humans forgot that supernatural beings even existed. However, the war had never truly been resolved so the hatred that the vampires and werewolves had for each other endured. When a mysterious murder occurs, chaos breaks out within the kingdoms. A throne must be taken, blood must be shed, a choice must be made and all must be answered by a girl with purple eyes.
