Many years ago, a girl named Jasmine was born. She grew up in Egypt with her older Brother and Sister for their parents died in an accident.. or that's what her Brother and Sister told her. She was exposed to the world of real Duel Monsters and magic because of its popularity during those times. When she grew older, she became friends with the Pharaoh, thus, making her the Pharaoh's most devoted servant and best friend... Friend? I don't think so. But what if she discovers something about herself and her family, gets herself trapped in a card for centuries, and when she opens her eyes, it's already a new era?

Yugi, a young boy who was a servant for the royal family in Egypt, had stumbled upon the young prince with one of his teachers in the garden. Yugi was not allowed to befriend or speak with Atem unless asked or forced to. One day, Yugi was playing with some of the other servant kids until the young prince and his friend Mana were out in the field kicking some rocks. The young servant had not realized on how much he and the prince looked alike, the only 2 differences were that Yugi was way more paler and was not royal. Yugi had somehow gotten hurt, and this is where the relationship began. As his "friends" left him because they could not handle the crying, the caring prince and his friend rushed over to his aid. The servant just thought they'd help so none of their 'slaves' would be harmed and could continue working but that's not how Atem saw it. Later on things had happened to where the prince had ordered his father to keep Yugi in the palace, so the two grew up together until war began. For 3 years Atem had left..
