My mother said, stroking my hair.

Grove hill has a history of mysterious disappearances and deaths. This is the story on how I got to the bottom of it and what I found on the other side. Jade the small town girl who loved to hard and broke even harder found herself in a strange alluring world of misfits and killers. She doesn't know exactly how she ended up in the position she in all she knows is that she'll fight to stay. In a killer string of events she's pushed into corners and tested left and right. Will she fight for what she wants will she stand up and protect the secrets she has discovered. Or will she let it kill her. A angel of light for a man who has a dark past, will she lose self control or will she bargain with the devil himself. There might even be a twist that nobody was ready for. The killing are happening again I said to my mother from the living room, she walked in to watch the news reporter explain the chain of evens that have been happening a little to close together in grove hill. The reporter spoke clearly "the last where about's have not been released yet but the lapd have been on the case for months now with the disappearances still happening will we ever get to the bottom of the phantom killer back to you John" both me and my mom looked at each other in sync saying lock up I'll take the upstairs rooms and you lock up down here. Walking up the steps my head kept circling around the fact that more and more disappearances are happening who or what could possibly be doing this. I made sure to lock every window, heading back downstairs I heard a plate drop and a scream. Mom! Mom answer me! Circling into the kitchen I see my mom laid out on the floor blood gushing from her stomach. No mom I scrabbled to grab a towel and placed it hard on her wound. I fumbled my phone a few times before I got it unlocked typing in 9-1-1 I heard someone in the corner say tsk tsk tsk I wouldn't do that.Complete

The boy stood in front of the bathroom mirror, a little too close, his tiny hands pressed against the cold surface. He smiled at his reflection, though it didn't smile back right away. He was used to this. It was always like that-he would smile, and then the reflection would follow, eventually. "Hi, there," the boy whispered, his voice a soft murmur in the quiet house. From the kitchen, the sound of pots clanging echoed, and his mother's humming filled the space. He could hear the rhythm of the spatula stirring in the pan, the sizzling of whatever she was cooking. His father, still seated at the dining table, rustled the newspaper, absorbed in the evening's headlines. "Mom, look, it's me," the boy called out, his eyes never leaving the mirror. He waited for her usual response-a glance over her shoulder, a quick nod of acknowledgment. But she didn't answer. She just hummed. The boy tilted his head, eyes narrowing. There was something about his reflection now that felt different, too still, too patient. "Hello?" His voice trembled slightly. "Why don't you say something?" In the reflection, his own lips parted in silent mockery. But this time, he swore it wasn't him. The boy swallowed hard, his pulse quickening. His reflection didn't mirror his every movement anymore. It was slightly delayed, like it was watching him instead. A whisper seemed to curl in the air around him, soft but distinct. "You're not alone here." His heart thudded. The voice, distant but clear, came from the mirror. "Who's there?" the boy asked, his voice barely above a whisper. His father grunted from the other room, and the boy glanced toward the dining table. His father was engrossed in his newspaper. The boy turned back to the mirror. The reflection was still staring, but now, something more than just the image of himself looked back. "Don't you want to play?" the reflection asked, its smile curling wider, unnaturally wide.Complete

"You definitely do, but we won't say anything, yet." I rolled my eyes at both of them. They were right, no, maybe. He was cute, the way his hair fell, and how he put the other player before himself.
