LONG AGO, in a time of magic - when it was not something to be scorned or feared - there lived a young girl who had been favored by the old gods themselves. Born in a prosperous kingdom, to beloved and benevolent parents, it was said that she had been the prized jewel of all the land, for her gift allowed her to see things that none other could. When the moon joined the sky and her mind darkened to the soft caress of sleep, the future was displayed before her eyes. She saw the good and the bad, the inevitable and the uncertain, and stories which would occur long after she was gone. It had been a blessing, the kind that had made people worship the very ground she walked on.

Or so the legends went.

In truth, the young girl had not been blessed by the old gods. No, her power had been stolen, and they had not taken kindly to such a slight. Although it had been no fault of her own, she had been punished for the mistakes of her family, cursed to spout prophecies that no man or woman would ever believe. No longer a blessing, but an omen of bad fortune, she left the place she had once called home, never to return or be seen again.

But her prophecies lived on, and one foretold of a great and powerful evil that would one day darken all the land, and of the naive, unassuming girl who was the answer to stopping it.

I hesitate. Why did I have this strange feeling? This strange aura behind the door. It wasn't like a threatening kind of feeling. But it was strange. Like if I opened this door, it would change my life forever. I hear a knock again. I shake my head from these feelings and thoughts. I then open it and look down to see a young child with a hood on. "Hello? Did you need something?" I ask. The child looks up and takes her hood off, revealing her long, black hair. The young girl looks up at me, showing her blue eyes. "Can I help you with something?" "Yes. I'm looking for my Father." Athena says. I ask, "Do you know his name?" "Yeah." she nods. I smile. She was a adorable little girl with blue eyes. I can't help but think she looked awfully familiar. "Well?" I say. "You." she says. I then feel a deep pit in my stomach. She can't be. "Pardon?" "You're my father. Merlin. Servant to the King." she says. "....no." I say softly. This can't be happening. "I'm your daughter." she smiles. My daughter. Who I didn't even know existed until now, is standing right in front of me. Will be responsible for the fall of Camelot. The beginning of Morgana's rule. And the death of Arthur. ------------------------------------ Merlin on the path to restoring magic to the Kingdom and protecting the once and future King Arthur Pendragon is now faced with a dilemma after seeing a vision of his daughter killing Arthur. Especially since she is at his door looking for him. On top of his destiny to protect Camelot and Arthur, he needs to be a Father to a daughter with magical abilities like him and seer powers like Morgana which seem to grow stronger every day. Will the vision be true? Or will he need to do something drastic to stop it from ever happening? Will she be the very thing that helps him save Camelot or the thing that destroys Camelot? Boy From The Woods

20 parts Complete

Arthur Pendragon has always trusted his father's opinion of sorcery. He has witnessed, first hand, the atrocities Camelot's enemies could commit with the aid of magic. However, after Arthur, Morgana, and Gwen give shelter to a strange boy, Merlin, they find wandering the woods, Arthur begins to question all he knows. Will Arthur be able to protect Merlin from his dark past? What if Merlin wasn't raised by Hunith or even Gaius, but by a corrupt king intent on taking advantage of Merlin's power? **merthurish** (Also on AO3)
