The Old passed on the Maxim,

Some can stay in your heart, but not in your life.

Then I'm doomed my whole life.

How am I to survive? When she got my heart?

A tragic end is not what I desired, 

not the typical aftermath of a tryst,

I refuse to let her pass on my life

when I will suffer from the loss of my intended wife.

Believe me when I say I would not cower,

We'll have our happily ever after.

And soon our kind of forever.

After all, I'm your Clandestine Lover.

All of me, the hard parts of flesh you could never seem to love, drips down the drain. I am waiting for the day for your fingers to unscrew the pipes, dig through debris and mess, scrape your heart against the rust, just to find me, so we can go through it all over again.
