Hazel and Lucas have been friends since they were children. Hazel and her family have served the royal family for generations. Even though they are servants, the royal family treats them as if they are family. They never wish to treat them as anything less than human beings. Queen Flora decides to invite four princesses from other countries to try and have her son understand that it is important to marry, with some influence from Hazel, Flora would like her son to pick a bride even if it will be a while before he takes the throne. Even if he doesn't pick a bride, she hopes it will make him more serious about his duty as a prince and to his people and hopes to lessen his adventurous streak. She hopes that one of these four beautiful ladies will make her son see life differently.

Hazel and Lucas have always been partners in crime, and Hazel is usually the one who always tends to Lucas at his request because she makes him feel comfortable. She too is more herself when they are together. When Hazel and Lucas fall in love, every obstacle is thrown their way to separate them, even imprisonment is in Hazel's future. The two plan to escape their island of a kingdom in hopes to build a home with each other elsewhere. But the question is, will they?
