Another Astronaut

With a initial premise similar to the movie Passengers, an astronaut is awoken early on a life-long mission. His female counterpart remains in hypersleep. For company he has a genetically engineered pet that looks something like a miniature pig. He finds himself joined also by a small, temperamental child. He questions his sanity and contemplates waking up his colleague for help.
