Josh has always helped Tyler with his depression. He always thought Blurryface was just a voice in Tyler's head.
But all that changes when Blurryface takes over Tyler's body for a few minutes.
And when Blurryface expresses feelings for him, Josh finds himself drawn into something he doesn't think he wants, but can't seem to avoid.

fun fact, i wrote this mostly to cope with my own abusive relationship. it's kind of triggering for me now (7 years later) so be careful (if anybody is even reading this in 2024). and a lot of this stuff feels glorified/romanticized. yikes.

~in the process of rewriting~ Tyler Joseph. Just your normal 17 year old, right? Well, not exactly. Tyler struggles with schizophrenia and dissociative identity disorder. He hears a total of three voices who all taunt him almost every chance they get. One voice, who happens to be his alter, has earned the name Blurryface. Tyler has struggled with the voices and Blurryface as long as he can remember. They were at their worst a few years ago, calmed down, and are now starting to get bad again. Anathema: someone or something that one vehemently dislikes, an abhorrence, abomination, accursed. Someone or something consigned to damnation or destruction. Platonic Joshler Life can get pretty difficult when your only two friends are imaginary, and it's even harder when they're not exactly the most positive people on the planet. Tyler is used to that, though, and he's used to pretending they're not there when other people are around. It wasn't so bad, at first, but now that one of them is bent on getting rid of the other, he's having his doubts. I Fancy The Singer (Book 1 // Joshler)
One band: twenty one pilots, two musicians: a drummer and a singer, one bond: a friendship, one accident: and so it all began. Tyler and Josh are best friends. They're in a band together, performing is in their blood.
