Umber, or Star is stuck in her "School for troubled kids". What they mean by that is "lab for testing on shifters". Umber is completely confused and scared out of her mind when a stranger buys her out and her friend Dark. But when the man truly shows himself to Umber, she might just start to trust people. Even after what they did to her. But before she can do that she is forced to either start Darkness or end it.
Warning: There is blood involved. If you don't like reading about blood I suggest not reading this.

A new kid arrives at school and all the kids fear him as he looks like he can be the son of Satan. Due to the Hero and his friends' valiant efforts the evil organization was disbanded; members scattered across Unova. Now, Professor Juniper has come back from her journey of assisting the new champion to an eager young girl, one whose Pokemon journey was put off for years by the events, Riley. And the minute the professor returns she's out the door. As her journey begins, Riley meets a young boy who's labeled himself as a failure, but refuses to accept her help or convenience her with respect. They reluctantly travel together and Riley becomes aware of a name being used to refer to her: Champion, though she hasn't won any gym badges or done anything special. Meanwhile, in the shadows, Team Plasma reorganizes, gaining strength under corrupt Sages and officers and led by Ghetsis. The team preaches a new direction, but the same motives added to a more "direct" and violent approach. It searches for objects it's lost and powerful members who've fled; all the while planning a destructive and unstoppable endgame, eventually crossing paths with Riley. The new trainer sees Team Plasma's vile actions and builds up a hatred for it, becoming determined to stop them whenever they meet while continuing THE JOURNEY OF A CHAMPION. She's eager to get things done quickly, but Flame was there to offer his guidance and protection. Flame is a mysterious stranger who happened to come out of nowhere, but the two felt instantly comfortable in front of one another as soon as they met. There was a connection they couldn't understand, and Flame was determined to keep her away from harm, but at a distance. Secrets will be revealed and memories will be remembered. There are important key elements to discovering a new meaning to what happened to them in their childhood.
