The thing dragged a clawed finger a cross the wall, leaving a thin, dark split above the lockers. The thing reached locker 287. Slowly, he mentally looked into the locker. 
"The one, the one "
He scrawled "YOU DIE" on that locker.
All was quiet. Nobody was with him. All was dark.
The thing slowly traced back the line. Then it dematerialized, leaving not a sign he was there, except for You die, on the inside of locker 287.
