From the renowned Filipino reformist and national hero Dr. Jose Rizal comes a classic piece of literature portraying the grim reality of the backward state of the Philippines during the Spanish era.

After the events of the first novel "Noli Me Tangere", El Filibusterismo follows the story of Simoun, a mysterious jeweller from America on a business venture in the Philippines. Widely known by the name "Black Cardinal", he earned his infamous reputation as a trader for his dark but unusually persuasive countenance, crooked morals, and unorthodox methods in doing business. To the regular folk, he is just another entrepreneur with a twisted sense of morality, but unknown to everybody, he is much more than just a mere opportunist he seemed to be. For beneath his dark glasses and silvery white hair, there lies beyond them a much deeper and darker persona...waiting for the right time to strike!

A handsome and sexy man with no emotion what-so-ever. Growing up without parents and the occasional mafia running into his office has drained the blood of his dark heart. Easy nights with a line-up of women for him to pick from, are common and plentiful in his attempt to fill that hollow void of his heart. For a man empty of emotion but full of charm and money, would he ever expect to feel something for the engaged woman that just burst into his office? Miss Alina Simmons, soon-to-be married to a businessman and heiress to one of the world's biggest International Bank. After her mother's death from the result of a mafia dealing gone wrong, it has become her life's mission to keep out of any gang business and to protect her father. Her wedding is only a day away, but with her father in hospital and her fiance's shady 'car accidents', she decides to make a trip to the Insurance Company handling the claims for her fiance's many cars. With trust issues, insecurities, a shit load of money and a hot body, how will Alina fare against the very alluring Kieran Knight? Crashing into his office seems like a good start. ================================= Guess who's back again? Hey lovelies! I'm back with a new book and I don't intend for it to be long but we'll see how the story progresses ;) 1. No copying, plagiarising of any sort. If I find out of such activity, I'll get Kieran to pull his gun out on your thick skull :') 2. Got the inspiration for this right after I was done with the first draft of 'Eros' Destiny'. ED really wrecked my brain and I wanted to return to Earth for my next book so here we are. XD Hope you enjoy this as much as I did writing it! :D With love and regards, Janice GoldShaken

"To all the girls who feel they are unfortunate." Chandrika -The princess of Ajmer labelled as the bad omen for the palace, she had always been kept locked in a room with nothing but silent screams ringing in her ears reminding her every second that she is nothing but a curse for her loved ones. Now those screams are no less than a lullaby which helps her sleep after each failed attempt to end her life every single night. Her innocent soul now rests in the pit of hope which diminishes in small doses, that one day someone will see her for who she wants to be. Someone who will see her not as a curse, but as a girl who just wants to be loved. Sultan Adil Faisal khan- Sultan of the Mughal Sultanate The young man who was titled as the Sultan at the very young age of 19, but deep down his tough mask resides in an innocent heart which aches every second missing someone he can never meet. Even though it's false for him to think of her when he knows he can't have her, his heart always repels his brain whispering, "what if?". what if one day he could meet her again? what if he could inhale her sweet scent again? What if he could confess his longing towards her? what if...? This world carries so much magic that to justify its unrealistic nature we label it as coincidence. Funny right? This story or as I should say every other romance story says otherwise even the sad ones and I totally agree. In this universe, where people are busy calculating possibilities of a dice number also live people like me who believe in fate, and I think anyone who reads does believe in fate. "kisi na kisi ko hai banaya har kisike liye" this lyric says everything I want to convey through my story. Each person in our life is like a chapter who helps us reach our happy ending. So, let's turn our pages and read through them. Shall we?

COVER PHOTO: FROM REDDIT, BY CK ROBBINS SYNOPSIS Awakening abruptly in 2024, Jose Rizal finds himself in a bewildering hospital room, disoriented and in a younger body. Convinced he has time-traveled, Rizal escapes into the bustling streets of modern Manila, struggling to navigate a world of skyscrapers and technology. He sets out on a journey to uncover the truth of his displacement in time driven by a desire to understand his own historical significance and the turbulent history of the Philippines after his "supposed" death. Haunted by the legacy he left behind, Rizal visits his monument in Luneta Park, grappling with the weight of his unfinished mission for his motherland. He faces personal and existential challenges, encountering allies who believe in his extraordinary journey and adversaries who seek to exploit his knowledge of the past. With his new identity as the teaching Maestro, Kuya Elias, Rizal navigates modern society and he discovers striking parallels between past struggles for independence and contemporary issues of social justice and inequality. Through his journey, he rekindles his commitment to inspire change and honor the sacrifices of his compatriots. This poignant exploration of identity, legacy, and the enduring quest for freedom weaves historical drama with a thought-provoking examination of cultural and temporal displacement. It celebrates the indomitable spirit of a national hero thrust into a future he never imagined, yet determined to forge a path toward understanding and redemption.
