Running down a broken path, his breath hitched blowing a cloud of smoke in the frozen air, hearing footsteps following him from behind as he ran with his younger siblings in front of him, his eyes widened with fear and anxiety drawing him closer, feeling his heart drop within the pit of his stomach.. right then and there.. he literaly thought it was the end of the line for him and his family..as soon as he heard a loud shrieking scream, he realized it was his mother..
he took off in search of the sound sending his brother and sister who were only 2 weeks old not even a year yet..his ears flicked at the sound of two other screams..running in and there he met with blood dripping down the mouth of a figure's sinister face...

We held our breath as we heard footsteps enter the dark room. My heart raced and I covered my mouth to keep from screaming as tears ran down my cheeks. Caleb sat next to me, with obvious fear in his eyes. I knew that the desk couldn't hide us for much longer and that's what scared me the most. The footsteps came closer and they grew louder by the second. I held my breath once I heard the man's footsteps stop. Caleb and I exchanged looks as we sat frozen under the desk. I looked up, trying to listen to the man's actions. Then a gloved hand grabbed the edge of the desk and the man's bloody mask appeared in front of me.
