Hide and seek
Remember those stories you were told as a small child, perhaps by an older sibling or friend? Ones about creatures that lurk in the shadows just waiting to attack. They were told to terrify us and it would work. Sometimes you would lay awake in bed afraid to fall asleep, then a parent would calm you down and assure you that in no way were the stories real. You would then relax, trusting your parent's judgment. That's how things use to be, but only too late now have we realised those scary stories are very much alive. Cover created by Chavalo218Complete

Hunter's Handbook
A book describing the setting of my stories from the perspective of one organization. It's best described as modern fantasy, set in a world similar to ours, where shadowy cabals are barely keeping various secrets out of reach of common civilian. However, due to advances in technology and infighting between various groups of supernaturals, this status-quo won't last long. Soon, the entire world will know of magic, leading us either to a brave new world of wonderful magical technologies or our own extinction. The hunters are one of the many groups acting without civilian knowledge. Their mission is simple - eradicate dangers to civilians and prepare for a possible apocalypse.Complete

This is our world, where kids at the age of thirteen begin fighting the dangers that face our world; they train and at the age of eighteen they will be put out into the real world. Schools were built everywhere, and kids were moved up based on their age. My world was a little different, my brother and I were trained ever since we could walk; we were put into battle once we reached seven years old.
