The Whip of Khamed is a bedtime story: a weapon of destruction and salvation, a means to all sorts of ends. Seeked by fanatic warriors, joked about by men and dreamed of by young children, the whip is the Kingdom of Kria's beloved legend. Unbeknownst to all, it is also the keeper of peace and more than mere myth.

But when its last bearer chooses to neglect his role, the kingdom must pay the cost. After his ignorance destroys all that he never knows he loves, Zeth must take the duties of a loyal bearer of Khamed's whip and make sacrifices he never thought he should.
