Slade was all alone in the world. His parents had thrust twin katana's into his tiny hands when he was merely five years old and kept him isolated from the other kids. "It's for your own good," They said. "Focus on your training."
When Slade turned ten, his village was burned to the ground by a group of Orcs and he was the only survivor. Not having any practice with social skills, he was forced to enter the world of society, magic, and monsters where the only way someone like him could survive was to take jobs and slay the said monsters.
When Slade turned fifteen, he finally built himself a permanent place that he could call home. A log cabin with four bedrooms, two baths, and a basement the size of an airplane hanger.
Now, at the age of twenty, Slade is still alone, with no one to accompany him other than the trusty twin katana blades his deceased parents had gifted him with.
Sarah had known she was a witch for as long as she can remember, and she was proud of it. She loved the fact that she could hurl increasingly larger flames at everything from a young age. She adored her older sister that could make the most beautiful of flowers sprout between the cracks in their cement driveway. She had always stared in amazement as her mother used her hydrokinesis magic to do everyday things.
Even with her Pyro magic, Sarah had always thought she was weaker then the rest of her family. She was just to young, and inexperienced. With great protest from her parents, she set off willingly on her own adventure to see and learn new spells and maybe even make herself stronger along the way.
The difference between these two is that where one sees fear and anxiety, the other sees exitement and possibility. Maybe together they can see the world in a whole new way?
