Two great kingdoms at war.
Ruthless rulers.

The kingdom of Vaylÿn, ruled by a young queen, one of the scarce gifted.  Her people just as scared of her, as they are the opposing kingdom.  

The Kingdom Satÿne, despite the war that had begun before history was able to record, little is known of its land.  It's rulers unknown, the people said to have darker hair, and snow kissed skin.

Children born with inhumane abilities.  Rare enough to be called a myth.
Nareh, a seventeen year old girl, her memories a matted mess.  A mentally innocent and broken girl, a single girl in the entirety of her world.  A paled milky scar runs from her left shoulder blade, down to her right hipbone.  It has been there as long as she can remember, and supposedly she was born with it.  Dragged away from her tragic past, she is presented before the queen of her kingdom alongside five other gifted.  She has a will to live.  To surpass her past torture and torment, and the stories engraved into her skin.

Jago Alexander, head commander of a squadron, and related to royalties line.  More cursed than gifted, his parents taken from him at the age of thirteen.   With nowhere else to direct his hate, and refusing better influences, he despises the Vaylÿn Kingdom.
