Lacy Elbout has relied on her self-esteem to get through life. At school she is the loner with no friends although at home it is much worse. At her house on most days Lacy is abused by her parents and not fed. She took care of herself all through her life.
One day when she comes home from school, she finds her parents dead from too much of an alcohol and drug consumption.
A mysterious man who Lacy has never met before called Mr Mevlot takes her in, but not to take care of her as a normal foster parent would. Mr Mevlot has taken Lacy in to become... A spy.
