Dana Becker, Erin Loomis & Nicolle Eldridge have been best friends since as long as they can remember, and are naturally overjoyed when Dana transfers to Woodsboro Highschool to live with her cousin Casey. Erin goes a little over the edge and will accidentally scare the shit out of her friends from time to time, but it's nothing unusual until her brother Billy Loomis and his friends get pulled into the mix. But after Casey gets brutally gutted along with her boyfriend, every question remains unanswered over the course of a week. Who lives? Who's the helpless victim? and who is gonna make it to the sequel?
