Patton was the first of Thomas' aspects to be created. For awhile, it was just him and Thomas against the big crazy world. Then the others came along. Every time a new aspect showed up, Patton felt the responsibility of a parent. To care for them, introduce them to everything in the Mindscape and show them how to protect Thomas. They were his responsibilities. His little kiddos.
