Patton was the first of Thomas' aspects to be created. For awhile, it was just him and Thomas against the big crazy world. Then the others came along. Every time a new aspect showed up, Patton felt the responsibility of a parent. To care for them, introduce them to everything in the Mindscape and show them how to protect Thomas. They were his responsibilities. His little kiddos.

Logan is very centered and smart so something to do with the mind makes sense. And Patton being the fatherly trait it's perfectly understandable for him to grow and raise life. Through the reveal of Remus, things between the sides have changed. Logan's advice to Thomas has been taken up by Virgil, talking to Patton and learning to grow as a side. All seemed to be going smoothly until Remus tells Roman something not so true ,and with a new dilemma facing Thomas, the sides are busting out the seems of their foundation to try and keep things together.
