The Alpha Female; A Newt Love Story

Once upon a time, the Sun's solar flares light up the sky like the 4th of July. This caused the Earth to overheat, thus killing millions of people. Soon, it was discovered that a side effect of the solar flares (other than the millions dead) was a virus that took over a person's body, making them go crazy. This is called the Flare. A corporation, WICKED, put together an experiment of sorts to find a cure for the Flare. Using dozens of children, they made the Maze. Month after month, a new person is added to their Maze, adding variables to their sick little experiment. They had to start somewhere, someone had to spend an entire month in the Maze before someone else came up, right? Well, that person is (Y/N). She is the leader of the Gladers with Newt by her side. Little does she know that he has a tiny (or huge) crush on her. She is the only girl in the Glade, and that makes her the Alpha Female in a den full of boys.
