All around you could see boys of his age probably flirting, playing games, hanging out with friends and throwing parties like their life depended on them. But he was a nerd. When one meet turns out to be Claire claiming him hers, he is left devastated and knowing that not to mess with "The Claire Cooper", Lucas has no option but to give in. Then, something occurs that will change not only Kayla's life, but everyone else's. Kayla ends up in a coma after a tragic accident that did not occur in a car. Now that she is at home and back to school everything is too much for her to handle. Kayla tries to commit suicide and then is forced to move out of her house. It's all a roller coaster from there.

So now the nice girl had to start over at a new school in a new State. And when the (maybe not so bad) bad boy, Eli, gets involved, it might be hard to be known as 'the nice girl'.
