The stage used to be a place that felt like home. It's where I thought I would always belong. But that was then. Before my confidence was stripped so publicly away from me. After singing on a chart-topping dance track and appearing in its video, I had stupidly laid myself bare to the cruel and judgemental world. People didn't hear my voice, they only saw my weight. I was big, but my voice was so much bigger. Trolled. Trashed. Ridiculed. I vowed never again to do that to myself. Never, would I stand on a stage. Never, would I sing in public. Years later, I lost some weight...but never really found my confidence. So when Doug DiCarto contacts me about the possibility of working with him, I am floored. He is a big name British DJ and dance music producer. He is admired. He is cool. A genius on the decks. He has a reputation for banging out the coolest of tunes almost as often as he bangs his women. Which is why I think I will have to say no. I just have to, right? Doug DiCarto and his high-profile world, could put me right back to that lonely, cruel and public place that I was four years ago. I can't do that to myself. As flattered as I am, I just don't think I can put myself through that all over again. My singing voice is mine. Never will it be the worlds. Morgan Hall is your average teenager. COMPLETED✅ Two high school teenagers finding themselves, analyzing this ever changing world, and building love. This is the type of love you wish you found in high school but probably know way too well that it only exists as fiction. Today I'm turning my fiction to reality. ❣️•••❣️ Excerpt: Just as I was about to seek shelter under some building's roof, the tires of a car come to a halt, I wonder who might pity the lonely girl walking in the rain. The passenger window rolls down, and I spot the most unexpected person seated behind the wheel.
