His eyes met mine for a split second and I looked back to the audience. Still,  I could feel his nstare burning through my face,  scrutinising my every moves. There had to be a mistake.  This couldn't be real. 

Finishing the song,  I falsed a smile to the crowd,  bowed under their loud applause and went to the backstage to grab my stuff. I had to leave immediately. 

I sneaked out of the café through the backstage and was about to get into my car when I was pushed against the door of the car,  coming face to face with my worst nightmare.
