"Fuck you, Springs" - he spats "In your dreams, Henderson" "How'd you know?" - he replies, with a smirk on his face. Jade Springs only had one goal in her life and that was to make it till 20. See,Jade wasn't really a very happy person. She was quite the opposite. Well if you can call an quiet, socially awkward, no friends and shit grades person happy. And not to mention the fact that her only happiness is reading books and making playlists about them. James Henderson is the opposite of Jade. He is a very out going person, who would do anything to see his friends happy even if that means that him, himself wouldn't be. Some people think that that's a weakness but James sees it as a very good quality. Of course his biggest rival Jade doesn't think so. Anytime they have an assignment together she would always call him out on that, while James would call her out on her no socialism and her shitty eye bags. What he would not tell her is that he kinda finds them attractive. Very attractive. Jade and James are fine with never talking to each other but there is one tiny problem. They both have the same two mutual friends. Avery and Xander. That and the fact that their families are really close. Like really close. When they were kids James's family would come over all the time. But that's not what we're here to talk about. We're here to talk about Avery and Xander, well for now. Avery and Xander are absolutely crushing crazy with each other. Of course everyone else sees it but them. Their misscommunication is driving both Jade and James crazy. One day when they're seated together for an assignment they both can't take it anymore and come up with a plan to get their idiots together. Well more likely a deal. Which one will be able to get Avery or Xander to confess first wins. But what they don't realise is that they are actually setting themselves up. *perfect for "better than the movies" lovers! *

"I love how this book is turning out!😍 Not cliche at all!" - i_hatecliche "We might live next door to each other," Haley said, "but we don't live in the same world." Hooking her fingers around her backpack straps, she walked away from Jace. She had barely gone a few steps before he was at her side again. "What makes you believe we don't live in the same world?" he asked. "As far as I can tell, we do." "No, we don't. I'm...me and you're Jace Cortez. The dream of every girl. The friend to every guy. The star of the school. Girls. Sports. You're the ultimate player." "It sounds like you have a preconceived notion of who I am." "And it's one that has yet to be proven wrong." From books and a lifetime of sitting on the sidelines, Haley is convinced she knows how the world works, specifically high school. Everyone has a label and a box they fit in. This knowledge, paired with parents who are fighting, a brother leaving soon for college and a best friend who moved away has made her decide to never get involved. It will take being forced to work with her fellow juniors on a project, a boy next door with a infectious smile, a star gazer with an adorable puppy, and an unlikely pair of fangirls to make her see how truly wrong she was about everything. "IT'S NOT CLICHÉ!!!" - Moria987 "This is the reason y I keep coming back to this book...It's simply a breathtaking journey" - mariyamsajorawala "I don't usually comment but this is one of the best books I've read here. I love the fact that it's realistic and focuses on things that really hinder human interaction, perceptions and stereotypes." - yurfavegal "just gets better and better. How are all your characters 3D! Like this writing is so beautiful" - CrazyStarChick "Reading it for the second time, and the book still brings a smile to my face 😆" - grumpymood "She's practically Carter's twin 😂😂" - Guardian_21 #1 Breakingcliches #1 Arrogant #6 in Teen Romance

Kendall has always lived a quiet life in a small town in Illinois with her family, friends, and boyfriend Jordan. Her life had been mostly happy other than when her best friend moved away when she was 10. It took her years to get over that loss. Then several years later, tragedy struck when her father passed away suddenly and Kendall was forced to move with her mom closer to Chicago where she could find a job to support the two of them. Little does Kendall know that she is in for the surprise of a lifetime. From the book.... As he catches up to me, he grabs my arm swings me around and with one swift movement he ushers me into a nearby empty classroom with the lights off. He cages me in against the wall. His close proximity is making me dizzy and my mind is thinking very dirty thoughts. Wait no. I can't think like that anymore. "Kendall." He says hungrily. "You are mine and only mine. You drive me wild and no one else can have you." He says as he attacks my lips. It feels so amazing I can't help but kiss him back. I run my hands through his beautiful hair and he groans into the kiss. Man I don't want this to ever end. I feel drunk on him. I don't think I can let him go. He stops suddenly to finish his thoughts. "No one can make you feel like this. Or kiss you here...." He says as he kisses down my neck. I moan and he smirks pulling his face impossibly close to mine. "..or touch you." He says as he takes his hand and brushes it lightly down my arm and he snakes it back around my back pulling me even closer if that is possible. He finally stops at my ass which he squeezes delightfully and I hum in response. Warning: Contains graphic sexual content. Read at your own discretion. You will not be warned ahead of time. The kindred heart:Love after trauma by astraythepen

In a world where words can heal and images can capture the truth, two lost souls collide in an unlikely encounter. Kenney, a young poet whose heart has been shattered by the weight of unrequited love, spends his days pouring his emotions into verses that no one hears. His words are both his refuge and his prison, a fragile connection to a world that once promised him hope but left him broken. Love has betrayed him, and now, all he knows is the quiet pain of longing and the impossible task of mending his heart through poetry. Quinn, a talented photographer, has a sharp eye for beauty-but it's the dark side of humanity she captures. She's spent years hiding from the lustful gazes of men, the raw desire in their eyes making her skin crawl. To her, love seems tainted by obsession, and she's sworn to protect herself from its destructive forces. But in her lens, she sees the raw truth of people's souls-without the masks they wear for the world. When their paths cross, a connection forms that neither expected. For Kenney, Quinn becomes the sunlight he never knew he needed, a force that slowly uncovers the dark corners of his world. Her quiet strength and unspoken understanding illuminate his poetry, allowing him to see the beauty in his own pain again. In Quinn's presence, he feels a glimmer of hope-a light that chases away the shadows of his broken heart. Together, they navigate their wounds-one through his delicate poetry, the other through her evocative photographs-searching for healing in the aftermath of pain. But love, once lost, is never easy to reclaim, and in their fragile bond, the line between healing and hurting becomes more blurred with every shared moment. "The Kindred Heart" is a poignant exploration of the scars that love leaves behind, the courage it takes to trust again, and the healing that only comes when you dare to see someone for who they truly are.
