Ellie Monty has lived a normal life in a small town in the middle of England; Alfreton. She lives with her mum, and has never met her dad, which is fine with her.  Her mum has told her enough stories for her to know that he was a horrible man. 

Nothing ever happens in Alfreton, and the only escape from the mundane is her music.  Every day, she races home from the bus stop after school to listen to her playlist composed entirely of Fall Out Boy, Panic! at the Disco, My Chemical Romance, -well, we would be here forever if I tryed to name them all!- in peace. Everything changes one day, when she overhears a conversation between her mum and a strange man. 

Turns out, her mum was a hitwoman, working to take down the Prime Minister. So, Ellie does the natural thing. She grabs her phone, her charger, her headphones, all her band and Harry Potter merch , packs it all into a suitcase and runs. Ellie finds herself at the police station, and before she knows it, she's spilled all her mum's secrets. The police arrest her mum and the strange man, but not before her mum, Kat, swears to kill Ellie, if it's the last thing she does. 

So, now, Ellie is in a Witness Protection Program, with a new name, in a new country, all alone in an orphanage. How will things ever be the same?
