Winter Arrives

Jude Winters wears many hats as a mother, home-maker, and graphic artist--but running the White Cairns Ski School in Scotland is a challenge way out of her comfort zone. Left in the lurch by an absent husband, she has no idea how to keep the ailing school afloat, let alone open for the season. But she has to learn fast.

Mike Cole has skied nearly everywhere in the world and now it's time to tick Scotland off his list, before he kicks the snow from his boots and carries on with his Kiwi version of walkabout. He's just the kind of instructor Jude needs to help recruit some new talent, but his wanderlust hasn't been sated and the rest of the world is calling.

Waiting for the first snowfall, Jude feels out of her depth and lost. Managing a disparate band of instructors is nothing like managing a household, and there isn't enough time to learn even the basics. For the season not to start with a complete disaster, she needs more than a miracle: she needs Mike to stay.
