I screwed up. I mean, really screwed up. I don't remember a time where I haven't screwed up, but this feels like I've gone past the point of no return. I've always thought that people wouldn't care. Wouldn't care if I suddenly dissappeared off the face of the earth. They wouldn't care if I was being beaten senseless on the ground. No one has ever cared, and I don't believe they ever will. Not really. Sometimes people just need a reminder. A reminder that they're worth it and that they're not alone. Some people just need a person they can trust. Some people are just so far gone that there's no saving them. Have you ever felt like everything you've ever worked for was for nothing? That every problem, every struggle, you've gotten through has led you to nowhere? Well let me tell you something. Everything happens for a reason, and everything is either good or bad or somewhere in between. That doesn't mean you should just lie down and take whatever the fates throw at you. Ever since I can remember I've never liked being tied down by rules. Anybody who knows me, which is apparently a lot of people, can tell you that. I've learned that sometimes you can change your definition. Your very existence can become something else if you only try so hard. I also learned that this comes with a price. What price I hear you asking? Well.... first I'd say you have to get rid of everything that makes you, you. Or maybe you get stripped of it. That's how you remake yourself. Start from only what you know and build from that. To become something different you've got to let go of what holds you down. In my case I was forced to. Yeah yeah. Go ahead and laugh, it's kinda cheesy. But Percy Jackson doesn't take any flack from critics so calm down. Anyway. The way I lost everything, the way everything I'd known and believed in, was whisked away from me just like that is within this book. In past, I was cheerful, positive, full of love and joy, until my father destroyed everything, took everything from me, turned me into a cold, heartless, and wrathful, no more happiness in my life. Until I finally met her again, my old friend and also my first love, my world was so beautiful with her, everything was perfect with her. All the beautiful memories I've been through with her for a long time... it crossed my mind, at the moment I looked into her eyes. But there was nothing I could do, I just pretended not to remember her, didn't know her, and it broke me. I want to hug her, I want to kiss her, I want to make her happy, but I can't. I can't keep my promise to her, my promise to always be by her side, I've broken it, the fact that I abandoned her. And I was so surprised after hearing she had an accident, which made her to lose her memory, and it was all because of me, that I had put her through it, that I had made her suffer. It would have been better if it had been me, not her, all my fault, all this because of my selfishness and my stupidity. My Life
This would be really boring. You don't need to waste time reading this. Not just boring, it might be even heartbreaking. The story was still going on, and therefore I had no idea whether it would end in a tragedy or not, but I had a feeling it would. And it did. We broke up under the striking, burning sun of 19th September, 2016. I write usually in a monotone description, therefore don't judge if you read this. My name is Rue, and I wish my life could be like the picture I put as a cover of my story, colourful, calm, and with a soulmate who keeps loving me all the way. However, things never happen as what we would like them to happen. I don't love my life, but I want to remember all that once happened. I want to look back one day, when I'm fully grown, and smile or tell my old self right now that I'm dumb. Mostly and lastly, I just want to remember him, the one I very much remember right now, but will fade in times to come.
