The girl screamed into the cloth in terror, the thick material muffling the high pitched cries.
"We wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year", a raspy voice sang behind her quietly, thumping footsteps echoing off of metal steps. 
The young child listened to them, frozen in fear, her body finally stopping in her attempts to free the thick chord binding her to the cold chair by her wrists and ankles.
