Ruth, was a simple girl. She lived with her brother, Adam. After an incident with a bear, she was now a hybrid. Hybrids were shunned by humans in the land. Yet, her brother was the only human who didn't think of her differently. Ruth learned after a few years why she wasn't aloud to go out. She found put about the hybrids, and hated being alone. She and Adam go on a quest seeking adventure. They meet a couple new friends along the way. But, they also meet some trouble.
