Un matin, la police débarque chez Jean Weber. Il est arrêté sur l'accusation d'être un meurtrier en série particulièrement sadique, uniquement sur base de preuves ADN. IL passe 5 ans en prison, avant d'être subitement libéré suite à la découverte de graves manquements dans l'enquête.
A sa libération, il se retrouve sans famille, sans logement, sans travail et sans aucune perspective. Sa recherche d'emploi s'avère sans espoir.
Il fait alors la rencontre « fortuite » de sa future compagne Olaya, membre d'une secte ufologique. Vu l'absence d'autres perspectives, il se décide à essayer de « faire carrière » au sein de la secte, mais, du début, tout se passe trop bien. Il devient rapidement le numéro 2 du mouvement. Lors d'une assemblée, il délivre ses « 2 messages », qu'il croit lui-même avoir inventés de toutes pièces, et qui provoquent une révolution au sein de la secte.
Suite à certains évènements inexplicables, il est bientôt pris de doutes : Les extraterrestres bienveillants des croyances de la secte, les « frères des étoiles », auxquels le gourou Patra lui-même ne croit pas, existent-ils réellement ? Ont-ils choisi Jean Weber pour le propulser à la tête du mouvement ? Sont-ils responsables de son incarcération ?
Les évènements se précipitent lors d'une tournée de conférences au Canada. Les frères des étoiles sont obligés de sortir de leur réserve, et prennent contact avec Jean Weber, Patra et d'autres membres du mouvement. Des perspectives inouïes s'ouvrent pour Jean Weber, Patra et la secte.

Tommy had just recently moved homes. The one he left was one full of memories. Not good ones, but not necessarily bad ones, either. He didn't have much to live for at his old home, so he moved in hope of starting over and meeting new people. He had no more family, and his school friends had long moved on from him. In fact, the only number in his contacts was his mum's who was long passed away. Tommy was young (sixteen, to be exact) and he often forgot things. Usually just as simple as forgetting to do the laundry, or forgetting to reply to a notification on his phone that he received three seconds prior. Simple things that didn't matter. This time, though, he forgot to charge his phone before leaving his new, barely furnished apartment. He didn't think much of it. If it died, it died. No biggie, right? He figured he'd be alright for an hour or so without his phone. That is, until he got lost in the large, unfamiliar town that he definitely didn't even slightly know the layout of. He didn't know where he was or how to get back to his apartment, especially without a GPS. And then, when it definitely couldn't get worse, it began to rain. Tommy was soaked. He was cold, hungry. He cut into an alley and sat down against a brick wall, curled up on himself. He sat there for a while, and then heard footsteps. It was three men. The older one crouched down in front of him. Is attracted, pushed, there he must to come. In the world of Mr. M. (a possible name) is creeping a... God. This secondary character grows the tree, give its strength. Although his influence is important in a subconscious world, his power is also manifested in what we consider as reality. We quickly notice that "reality" is not reality that we, who we are, feel, but beyond it happens something more unusual. Let's return to our hypothetical kabbalistic tree. In "reality", the God manifests himself mystical, through fraternities, inspirations, visions, possession, strange theories, tempting and enticing. This god that changes, transforms, his subjects, has supporters and strong opponents. The sneak of the patriarchal god in a matriarchal society cannot be done without fight. Mr. M. is not only the target of the god who wants supremacy but is discovered by a group of true light source hunters. With them he will go into a new spiritual adventure, to the knowledge of necessary truth. This goal creates and reinforces positive heroes. On top head of tree stands the Light of Truth. The light is hidden by an (almost) impenetrable dome. To breakthrough from inside is allowed a method... Further, mystical world is wasted... The hidden things are touched by specialists light. Even before the female lead makes her appearance, I will try in every way to make the villain a little more normal, or at least ensure that the two do not meet, so that no one will face a harsh death, including me! And then, after the villain doesn't become obsessed with the female lead and becomes more normal, I will be able to resign and live peacefully. So I just cleared all the suspicions he might have about me in order to not incur his wrath and die like in the novel. * * * "I'll give you a choice." The corner of his lips raised crookedly.
