In Prythian, she was nothing more than a little girl destined to marry whichever male her father thrusted her upon. In Doranelle, she can start over. She must start over. Astraia knows she needs to forget what happened in that mountain cabin, but even if the echoes of her mother's screams didn't ring in her ears, she wouldn't be able to let go of the taunting question: if she died, why didn't she stay dead. Even more pressing, why did she wake up on another world? Taken under the wings of four ancient brothers who may have motives of their own for adopting a twelve year-old Fae girl, Astraia begins to ask herself the questions she never wanted to face, and in doing so, learns more about herself and her world-both of them-than she could ever imagine. More worrisome are the tremors that begin to ripple through Doranelle and the neighboring continent, Erilea; her new family speaks of a race called Valg, a wicked Fae Queen, and a bloodline that possesses an ember of magic destined to become a raging wildfire. Armed with shadows and stars, Astraia must decide where she will stand in that battle.

For it is coming.

And no amount of preparation will ready her for the war made to rattle the stars that have watched over her for centuries.

This is set after Silver Flames, but will not touch on any events that have happened after. This story has 5 parts: Part 1: Before Ikarad, the second son to Feyre and Rhysand of the Night Court. Mated to Etera, the Shifter. Both of them are loyal to their court and their family. Both of them dream of a future that feels so impossible and far away, that when it is within grasp, it scares them more. Part 2: During Freya, daughter to Tamlin. Her life is limited to a circle of white stone. Her hair itches, and her dreams are filled with mountains and wings. Betrothed to a male decades older, a marriage everyone around her prepares her for. Part 3: Present Freya has known pain for a long time now and Orion is tasked to look after her. Orion, the outlier, the one that doesn't truly fit in. Freya's identity is questioned, all that she knows about the world starts to break apart. Leaving her to lean on Orion in more ways than one. Part 4: After Amaya, Youngest daughter to Rhysand and Feyre of the Night Court, tries to find her place in the Night Court. Her powers are greater than her brothers and her father. Her head is held high. Things still need to be clarified, still need to be revealed. Part 5: Beyond Etera needs to face what she has tried to hide from. Amaya needs to face her feelings. Orion needs to face his desires. Years of avoidance come to an end. Death returns one more time. And maybe this is not an end, but a beginning. Cover art by me.
