In uno scenario in cui le vite dei protagonisti non mostrano alcun legame apparente, emergono verità nascoste che annodano l'uno agli altri. Le vesti ipocrite indossate da ciascuno di loro, vanno lentamente a dissiparsi con l'omicidio di una giovane psicologa, mostrando le meschinità che li rendono al contempo vittime e artefici di indicibili misfatti. Due sorelle, una coppia di amanti, un matrimonio fasullo, generano un mix esplosivo in cui l'amore è travolto dall'odio. Una storia tragica e vitale dove passione, tradimento, ricatto e vendetta, portano al limite la vita dei personaggi. Il tutto denso di ipocrisie che risulteranno la miccia esplosiva di eventi drammatici.
A seguire le indagini sarà il commissario Nardi, che per far luce sul caso si vedrà costretto a sua volta a fare i conti col passato.
