As the only child born into the respectable, wealthy Park family, Carter has women throwing themselves at him left right and center. It's not until his father arranges the nineteen year olds wedding to a fellow wealthy families daughter that the women lose hope and stop. They're not the only ones losing hope, however, as Carter has no desire to marry a woman he's never met. He's never had the desire to marry a woman at all - as his love interests spark up in men. Knowing he has no capability to change the future if he stays, Carter packs his bags and buys a plane ticket, running away to Canada to restart his life. But, since his whole life everything had been handed to him on a silver platter, he finds out the world is a much harder place then he ever could have imagined. Being unemployed and on the streets life becomes harder than it ever has for the businessman's son, that is until he meets Abbott "Abbey" Baker. Abbey knows what it's like to be a runaway, and takes Carter into his home like a lost puppy. He helps him up on his feet, becoming his teacher and showing him how to survive the real world. Carter learns that his parents love was only through gifts and money, and true love comes with happiness and acceptance; the two things that both boys have always wanted.
