Mature
Rosie is a banshee, her mother was a banshee, and her mother was a banshee, etc.
There's just one problem, Rosie doesn't know what she is. She doesn't know why she can suddenly hear the voices again and why she is haunted by morbid dream-like visions. Her mother was killed by a man with glowing eyes, but no one believed the grieving seven-year-old. They said that grief can make people see things that aren't real. But Rosie knows what she saw, it was not some trick of the light or something her mind made up, it was real.
Things only get more complicated when Brendon Blakesley shows up at school. His silence and mysterious life intrigue Rosie more than she would care to admit, and she will not stop until she knows the truth about both of their pasts. The voices warn her not to trust Blakesley, but Rosie was never one to listen anyway.
