This story follows an inkling named Jet and an octoling named Coral, who have teamed up with The Squidbeak Splatoon to take back Inkopolis from the evil Octarian Order, which is led by DJ Wasabi (or Echo, as Jet calls him). During all this, Coral is also searching for her long lost sister, who went missing because of the Octarians. Aiding Echo in control for Inkopolis is his right hand man, Glitch, who is a powerful hacker created by Echo. Not only that, but Echo has hired the assistance of two sibling bounty hunters. Will the Squidbeak Splatoon take back Inkopolis or will The Octarian Order seize complete and total control over Inkopolis?(CC) Attribution-NoDerivs

Inkopolis bay is a new place to start, no more rotten past following X as they move in. They get situated easily enough, but...they still don't have friends, even with a curious sea hareling named Y following them around. Life is boring for a little while until Y takes them to meet their friends. And for a moment, life doesn't seem so bad... Until they invade. Not Makoids, not Salmonids. The Chrysalings. Strange hybrids of insects and cephalopods have come to Inkopolis bay to take everyone back to their home, wanting to please their ruler with the love for music, friends and battle that everyone has. With X, Y, and a few others surviving hidden in the ship of NS Arctorra, it's up to them to bring everyone back and restore the bay to what it was before.

Nintendo owns all of these properties, none of this is mine, but since it is fan-written and Splatoon isn't known for its riveting storytelling, some creative liberties were taken to hopefully provide a better experience.
