"The prettiest smiles hide the deepest secrets. The prettiest eyes have cried the most tears. And the kindest hearts have felt the most pain." -Unknown

In general, society believes that depression is a big concept. And it is.

However, society also overlooks those that are silently suffering from it, slowly deteriorating from the inside out. It's because we don't understand how normal these victims are, how normal they appear to others. We believe that those that suffer from depression are constantly sad etc, but that's not the case!

Most of the time, it's those with the prettiest smiles that are hiding the truth, the prettiest eyes that shed tears when alone, or even the kindest people that felt the most pain.

Often enough, people believe that they can't do anything to help the victims. Oh, but sometimes even the smallest of actions can save them, from simply greeting them to befriending them. It may be a small or a large gesture, but it impacts others so much.

The purpose of this story is to show the world how simple it is to fall in the chasm of darkness, and how easy it is to help the fallen. There will be multiple one shots inspired by my own experiences, and each piece will hopefully reveal the message that I want to send to the world. It may be angsty, it may be triggering, but it is acknowledging the lesser known side of things. The side that we try to avoid. The dark side.
