Leanira has been surrounded by death her whole life. She moved to the Albury Orphanage at a very young age and was very nearly touched by death when she was struck with an illness no other had survived.
After Leanira barely survives the horrible ordeal she doesn't understand why many other children are dying for no reason or why she can feel when death is near. Leanira's dedicates her life to finding the cause which may lead her to her end.
Leanira is set in Albury, a town in Australia, in the early 1900s.
