Ricky is a choreographer, and his favorite person to dance with, especially to test out the choreography, is Ava. While Ava isn't a trained dancer, she's a natural talent. Unfortunately Ava's boyfriend, Lucas, isn't much of a dancer, and while he encourages Ava to dance, sometimes it's hard to watch, especially when Ricky's choreography is more intimate.
