Aylo, a 17 year old girl, has been in solitary confinent for most of her life, as an experiment.
She is very unique for her genes and DNA at differebt from a human, which gives her ability that they hace yet to discover. 
Aylo is unaware of her past and of her name. She goes by experiment 01. 
Aylo, experiment 01 , has never experienced or remember any human contact. Just a voice that wakes her up. 

At least untill she started reviving letters under her door.

The only a adults are the Helpers (the doctors) as Rose likes to call them and Them but Rose doesn't ever know if they're human. When she gets assigned to a doctor she starts asking questions; questions that will hurt the people she cares about.
