Aera was born without his right arm and left leg. He always questioned why he was born this way. He just wanted to be a normal kid like the others in his class. Aera of course uses prosthetics to be able to move around, but he always hated them. Then there was an oppotunity for him to feel and look like a normal kid and he took it.
