Book One of the Heroes trilogy.
Celia Washington, an orphan since six years old, has her life ruined by the death of her mother. She is sent to an orphanage by her father and once there, gains only one friend named Dawn. When Dawn gets adopted, Celia has no one. But not long after, she receives a federal letter with her mother's will. In its simplest form, it tells her she has a mansion in South Carolina waiting for her, and she doesn't hesitate to pack up and leave. After she arrives, she makes new friends with kids like her. However, these kids are not ordinary. Each of them is born to save the world from destruction. How? They have special abilities. Celia saves many of them, but can she save the world from destruction while building a formidable force? And can she get everything together when her newly-pieced together life starts to fall apart once again? @ 2014 All Rights Reserved

**** I wrote this book in 2014 as a Senior in High School. I'm sure it's full of grammatical and spelling errors as well as potholes. That said, some day I hope to come back and fully edit it, but as of now, read at your own risk!!!***** Lexington is fresh out of juvie. She was taken away for a crime committed only in self-defense and now she's back and ready to tackle a whole new struggle. High school. Lex is picked on for not only her different ethnicity, but having a medical disability she has no control over as well. When the guy that everyone fears suddenly takes an intrest in her, Lexington is thrown for a whole new loop as she tries to understand what's happening. With his heartless mother ignorant to the problem, he has to figure out who has her and where they went, all on his own. He needs to find her and get her back, but when others get involved, the situation becomes a little more difficult and a lot more dangerous. It turns from a rescue into life or death. They attend the local school & try to fit in but everyone knows where they live & the circumstances of why they are there. Unaware that the towns gossip is targeting the girls as unworthy & not respectable they each struggle to fit in & to achieve the popularity & happiness that they desire. Sometimes at a high cost. In the tough times that lie ahead will the girls fall victim to the towns gossip? Or will they learn to trust in the people they care for & who care about them by discovering the true meaning of friendship & family?
