Angie spent her entire university and graduate school career working towards this moment- the moment she would lead Team Bloop to victory in the Space Opera VR Systems Challenge. Angie knew in her heart and soul that her team had built the best VR hardware in the world. To prove it, they just had to beat 20 other teams that each thought they had built the best VR hardware.
Hours before her players would enter Space Opera- the largest online VR game in the world, disaster struck. Her squad of players betrayed her and joined a different team.
If she didn't have a squad of players who survived in the Space Opera the game long enough to show off the equipment, three years of her life would be wasted. Fame and fortune and lucrative patents and a great job would evaporate.
Now Angie has to assemble a new squad of players and win online in the Space Opera game while her technical team and hardware wins the competition outside the game.
The only thing for sure is that the Space Opera VRMMORPG doesn't wait for anyone and the competition begins in t-minus 2 hours and counting.......

Being constantly compared to ones brother can make one feel neglected. This is the case for Kai Walker. His brother was the star of the schools soccer team as well as the star of the basketball team. Everyone adored him and held him on a very high pedestal. This includes his own parents. For all of his sixteen years he has been constantly compared to his brother whether at home or at school. The most common phrase he hears is, 'Why can't you be more like your brother?' He made it through the years due to his only friend. A female childhood friend of both his and his brother, Amy Halland. But one sentence from her has sent Kai over the edge. The phrase he never thought he would hear from her. Yet it happened. Without hope he gives up, right after the sentence he decides to end his existence. He jumps from the school's roof ignoring the shouts from Amy. Yet it still didn't work.
