Dante was alpha to a well renowned and stable pack, one that had been seated in its territory for centuries. Wolves lived, bred, and died there faithfully since their creation. His father struck a deal with wanderers, a pack lead by Alpha Sandy, who seemed only to search for a safe place to set up. They bordered the very edge of Dante's land, they grew, they settled, and they died. Every last one of them, in a mysterious attack. The details surrounding Sandy and his pack were iffy at best, records were lost or burned, the town was wiped off the map, nothing remained to guide him to answers. Or that's what they thought.
