Joey is different. At the age of 5, she started hearing voices. Scary voices. Her fear getting out of control, she's at the breaking point. And then he comes. Angel. The only gentle voice, pure enough to drown the evil ones out... Joey is 24 now, working a job at the local diner when she notices a gorgeous stranger watching her. Why? And why, when her heart belongs to Angel, does his face keep intruding? The evil ones are coming. They need Joey to overthrow the rule of the Immortals, her death will open the portals from Hell. "Are you coming to bed firefly?" He says to me laying his hands over my waist joining me in looking over the city. "I want to look out for a little longer if that is alright?"
