"I love you. I've loved you since the day I saw you come in though the school doors . I love your laugh, your smile, just you in general. You're happiness is contagious, when I'm not with you I want to be. I want to be the only one that wraps their arms around you, the only one your blue eyes sparkle at, the only one you give your love too Missa." He looks at me, his brown eyes holding an foreign emotion to me. Sweat gleams off of his forehead, his smile is shaky and uncertain.
"I don't love you, I can't. My heart has been hurt so much I don't know how to 'fall' in love with anyone. My heart has locked itself away from the world, not letting my feel desire, love, or lust. No one has been in my heart after what..never mind." I turn away from him and walk outside the doors, feeling nothing but the same emotions I've carried for the past 9 years.
Missa comes from a dark past that no one will ever know, ever understand. She often keeps to herself as secret upon secret begin to pile. But when a job offer is presented to Missa's father he pulls her and her brother from their loving home in NYC to the small country town of Delta, CO.
