The Labyrinth Keys
In the sprawling waste zones of Ashfield, a city choked by the refuse of a broken society, Jack Vesper sorts through discarded junk with no real future in sight. At 25, he's just another misfit, another person tossed aside by the world, now working a grueling job as a garbage sorter. The days are monotonous, but when he stumbles upon a strange, black metal sphere buried deep in the trash, everything changes. Curious, Jack presses a hidden button on the sphere, releasing a small black chip into his hand. It feels heavy with mystery and potential, too precise to be just another piece of discarded tech.
