"Like this," he asks moving his gaze down to my lips. My breath hitches in response, and suddenly I'm not so furious anymore. My head instinctively tilts up towards Lucas as he leans in closer. I feel my eyes flutter closed as the butterflies tingle in my stomach. I feel his soft, warm lips press right beside my mouth kissing me.    His hands go to my hip and the back of my neck, tugging me closer. He makes a trail of kisses up my face to below my ear. I tangle my hands into his hair, pulling gently in his hair. One of my hands make their way to his cheek trying to pull his lips back to mine, and I hear him chuckle. I sigh and pull back to look at him.    "You're such a tease," I mumble with a small smile. Attractive strangers Lucas and Cara were living normal, uncomplicated lives until sought by a group of bounty hunters. The price on their heads is high because the gifts they possess are priceless. They run for their lives but it doesn't take long to realize they can't run from their growing attraction for each other. Oof, that description was painful. This is a hobby project intended to work some creative muscles, which is why you may see iterations of the same characters in my stories. While not true fan fiction, this work is inspired by several of my favorite movies and film characters. I like to drop lines from these movies and characters as little Easter eggs. If you can spot them give them a shout-out in the comments. As this is essentially a glorified creative writing project, I haven't done the type of deep research that goes into a professional novel. I'm always receptive to constructive criticism that helps to improve my writing.
