After an angel turns 18 the become one of many angels including, a guardian angel, a matchmaking angel, or even a teacher angel.
Kiyoko decided to become a matchmaking angel even though her family has a line of guardian angels. Her family made her a deal if she can get a match by the Saturday after she starts work she can stay a matchmaking angel. If not she will have to come home and be a guardian angel.
The White string of Fate represents current family. A mother, a father, a sibling, or even a husband or wife.
The Pink String Of Fate represents a couple. A boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, or wife.
The Blue string of Fate is the most important it represents soulmates. If a matchmaking angel were to match two people together that aren't soulmates they would not be permitted to work as a matchmaking angel anymore.
