But without knowing what they're really up against, they must fight the dangers blindly just to keep their enemy at bay. Can Sonic, Mega Man, and the Freedom Fighters take back the world they have fought so hard to protect, or will their world finally fall into the clutches of the nefarious Dr. Eggman?

Eggman was defeated again by sonic and his friends but eggman found a strange artifact that is not from his world so he try to use it against sonic and his friends but it teleported them to another world. But thanks to the new Cyan Chaos Emerald the balance of Seven Chaos Emeralds has been restored and Dr. Oliver Eggman is bent on getting this new Cyan Chaos Emerald believing that now a total of eight emeralds exist.
