A Sirens Wish

The delicate tune carried across the shore line. The waves even quivered under the melody. The bitter-sweet notes spread like a wild fire over the ocean. A nearby stocking boat swayed in the gentle breeze, the crew tilting an ear to the beautiful music.

"I'm sorry." Melody whispered, barely hearing her own voice over the swell of waves. Tears ran gently down her cheeks. She contiued to sing, helpless to her own voice.

A swarm of clouds started to swirl across the previous cloudless sky. With an ear splitting crackle, lightning tore across the sky, dancing down upon the water, black waves splashing across the shore line. Monsterous waves roared and swelled across the horizon.

Tears clouded Melody's eyes as large waves fell upon the small boat. With a
final crack of thunder, the clouds softened, vanishing as if they were never there. The black, dark ocean smoothing out once more. The only thing that was different was the small boat was gone, sucked under the oceans surface.

Melody, drapped in lace raced away from the cliffs edge, tears streaming down from her pale face. Her lace dress billowed in the wind, the star's twinkling down upon her.
